Youth Choir

Children’s Choir is a course offered to 3rd-6th grade students who are interested in performing arts, specifically in vocal music. Instruction focuses on the elementary level of music theory & history, aural skills, sight singing, and foundational vocal techniques through various styles and Christian director-approved selections of repertoire while discussing the purpose of singing and biblical integration with works studied in class.

A formal evaluation is based on attendance/ participation, theory worksheets, at-home practice, homework (music projects, theory, practice log), and a final concert performance. 

• Class meeting dates & times are subject to change due to weather, sickness, and director unavailability.  
• Additional rehearsals and performances may apply. Dates/ times will be announced as soon as they’re known. 
• Attendance at all rehearsals and performances is mandatory.
